We are heading to Toulouse to the Airbus wonderland at Toulouse Blagnac, which is the production line for the A320, A321, A330 and A350 as well as ATR. Supporting the production lines are regular visits of Airbus Beluga XLs, bringing in subassemblies for the final assembly lines. Toulouse is also a commercial airport, with good commercial traffic. We expect to see a number of newly-assembled Airbus airliners going through test flights prior to being accepted by the customer airlines, as well as Airbus developmental aircraft performing test flights.
We will be spotting for a whole week at Toulouse, with a visit to Francazal and possibly Mont-De-Marsan AB (Rafale, Mirage 2000)
During this trip we will also have a factory tour of the Airbus plant (A320 or A350), and we will visit the two fantastic aviation museums in the area, Aeroscopia (2 x Concordes, Caravelle, Super Guppy, A380, A400M) and Ailes Anciennes Toulouse.
To keep costs down, we have found a hotel which offers good-sized triple rooms.
