With the cancellation of the Royal International Air Tattoo, we have shifted the focus of our UK Tour to visit a number of bases and museums in England and Wales.
We depart early in the morning for London Heathrow, where we will spend a day spotting at one of Europe’s busiest hubs, before picking up our van to head to our hotel.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be spent spotting outside a number of bases, such as Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Fairford, Brize Norton, Waddington and more, as well as museums and wrecks and relics enroute. The exact programme will depend on what intel we recieve with regards to movements for the day.
Given that military activity decreases considerably over the weekend, we will dedicate the weekend to some significant museums in the area, including the Fleet Air Arm Museum, the South Wales Aviation Museum and the Helicopter Museum.
On Monday, we will have the option of either visiting the RAF Museum Hendon or spend a day spotting at London Heathrow till it is time for our flight back to Malta.
By planning well in advance, we have managed to keep the price of the tour at the same level as last year, so early bookings are recommended!
