On June 7th, the Yorkshire Air Museum will be organising Thunder Day, an open day where it will be organising static engine runs on a number of its aircraft, likely to include its newly-painted Victor, Nimrod, Jet Provost and prop aircraft.
Our tour departs for Manchester early in the morning at the 6th, allowing us some good time at the Manchester Aviation Viewing Park, where we will be organising a tour of resident British Airways Concorde G-BOAC.
The Park also houses a Nimrod, a Trident and a BAE RJX, as well as being a great spotting location for Manchester Airport. We will then depart for our hotel.
On the 7th, we will have a full day at the Museum for Thunder Day, and we will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum’s collection itself, which includes a complete Halifax bomber, Hurricane, BF-109, Spitfire 1, three Buccaneers, Mirage II, Mirage IVA, Lightning, Harrier GR3 and two Tornados.
The 8th is reserved for wrecks and relics and more spotting until it is time to catch our flight back home.
Included in the price of EUR 499 + Flight:
Assistance of an experienced 9H Travel Tour Manager. All transport arrangements. Accommodation (Twin Sharing Room, bed and breakfast)
